Physical Education Grading Policy

 

Physical Education Grades are based on a point system.  Students begin each quarter with 100 points or 100%.  Grades are lowered if a student loses points.  Each infraction is typically worth 2 points.  These include but are not limited to the following:

 

Lateness

Unprepared (proper dress code)

Misbehavior

Cutting class

Lack of Participation

Cell phones / Ear buds

Absent (Students may lose points after the first two absences)

 

 

Cutting class, behaviors problems, and/or not participating may result in a loss of more points.

 

*Medicals have no negative effect on grades*

 

Rules:

 

1.  Dress in phys. ed. attire (Athletic t-shirt/sweat shirt, shorts/sweats, socks, sneakers)

2.  Show respect to your teacher and students

3.  Play fair, no cheating

4.  Follow directions

5.  When you hear the whistle, STOP, LOOK, and LISTEN

6.  Use equipment properly

7.  Do not leave the gym without permission

8.  NO CELL PHONES

9.  HAVE FUN!
